Supt WALKER VEHICLE PURCHASE SPARKS TENSION

….As Several Bong Citizens Calls for Restitution of Money

GBARNGA-June 21, 2021, WTVNEWS: Several Citizens of Bong County are calling on the County Legislative Caucus to restitute US$25,000 taken from the county’s budget to purchase Supt. Esther Walker’s vehicle.

Recently, the County Legislative Caucus took US$25,000 credited it to the country’s Superintendent Esther Walker to purchase a vehicle.

But speaking on the matter, Bong County District #4 Representative Robert Womba said the action of the Caucus violates the budget law of the Country.

Though he did not mention the part of the budget law that is being violated by the Caucus but said it was important because the Superintendent needed to keep inspecting projects that are being undertaken by the Project Management Committee.

Rep. Womba acknowledged that the Caucus violated the budget law of the Country by giving $US25,000 to the Superintendent saying “
“The County credited the Superintendent to buy the vehicle she is currently riding, “Rep. Womba said.

Some citizens in the county have since expressed disappointment in their lawmakers, terming their action as unacceptable and intended to exploit taxpayers’ money.

The citizens have threatened to take unspecified action at the county’s sitting if the caucus refused to restitute said amount. “If nothing is done to restitute this money there will be an unspecified action which will include the disrupting of the upcoming County sitting”, they indicated. See LessEdit
