“CDC GOVERNMENT WANTS TO KILL ME” Rep Suacoco Dennis raises alarm

Paynesville, Liberia:
Montserrado County District # 4 Representative Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis has raised an alarm for death threats on her life by CDCians due to what she termed as ‘her critical stance’ on Pres. George Weah and the CDC-led Government.

Rep. Suacoco Dennis claimed that serving as one of the lead campaigners for the establishment of the war and Economic crimes court in Liberia has reportedly angered Pres. Weah and his supporters.

She made the statement recently in an interview with WOMEN TV-LIBERIA in her district.

“I have received an assassination threat on my life, I was told not to sleep at my house for several days before something happen to me, since then, I have been sleeping out of my house, this is affecting my family especially my daughter” Rep. Suacoco Dennis said.

She further explained “They have my picture and asking around for me, they have even gotten my host involved, carrying my host picture around hunting the person, I’m so afraid right now, anywhere I go, the “Master” is involved”.

Rep. Dennis was not cleared as to who she was referring to as ‘The Master’.

The Montserrado County District # 4 lawmaker has over the period been a critical voice advocating for the establishment of the war and Economic crimes court in Liberia emphasizing that all those who committed heinous crimes against Liberians during the brutal fourteen years civil war should be made to account for their action.

The lawmaker noted that since she started her advocacy, there have been series of attacks against her life both at her home in duport road, Paynesville, outside the capital, Monrovia, as well as other areas in the country. Rep Dennis has been recently posting on her official Facebook page claiming that the CDC government is after her life and wants to kill.

“I believe the CDC government is after my life, I strongly believe they want to kill me, remember these words as I speak, if I go missing, know it’s because of my believe if I am found dead, no autopsy please just let me be, the government is witch hunting me, they want to kill me” she posted on her official Facebook page.

Representative Suacoco Dennis also confirmed that she is in a legal battle with a lady identified as Cytarus Dahn who had an altercation with some of her supporters in the district. She declined to explain more about the case for fear of been held in contempt by the court “Cdcians are now using my legal batter to get at her”.

The lawmaker said she has been issued writ of arrest by the Paynesvillie City Court.

Article 42 of the 1986 constitution States “No member of the Senate or House of Representatives shall be arrested, detained, prosecuted or tried as a result of opinions expressed or votes cast in the exercise of the functions of his office. Members shall be privileged from arrest while attending, going to or returning from sessions of the Legislature, except for treason, felony or breach of the peace. All official acts done or performed and all statement made in the Chambers of the Legislature shall be privileged, and no Legislator shall be held accountable or punished therefore”

Earlier, our news team spoke with the City Solicitor at the Paynesvillie City Court Atty Dokpah Williams and he confirmed that Cytaria Dahn filed a lawsuit against Representative Suacoco Dennis.

According to Atty Williams, Cytaria told complained that Rep Dennis led a group of gangsters to her shop and allegedly vandalized her business center in Paynesvillie on grounds that she Cytaria owes her.

“Under the law when you do that, it constitutes burglary criminality and
theft, so this is what Cytaria said and that the matter that is before this court, it’s not a specific interest, government is responsible to ensure that lives and properties are protected” Atty Dokpah Williams explained.

Meanwhile the Ministry of Gender children and social protection is requesting the Ministry Justice to provide security for the lawmaker and investigate circumstances surrounding the accusation.

Government through the Ministry of Information is yet to officially respond to the allegation of death threats against the Honorable’s life.
