ArcelorMittal LAUNCHES INT’L DEVELOPMENT TRAINING FOR PERFORMING STAFF…As more staffers set to benefit

The training is part of the planned expansion of its mining project. The ArcelorMittal international training and development program for high potential Liberian employees and talented VTC graduates focuses on the job experience and knowledge in ArcelorMittal Mining operations globally.It currently captured the first group of nine (9) high-performing employees including three award-winning graduates of the AML Training Academy, formerly VTC; others have been identified and and are expected to depart Liberia in the soonest possible time. The performance employees and Graduates from VTC are also expected to form part of the ArcelorMittal business units in France, Brazil, and possibly Canada where they will be assigned for between ­­­­­­­­­­six to twelve months.The employees will receive advanced training in the fields of mining production and operation optimization, plant maintenance, planning and execution, plant electrical operation systems, and electrical maintenance. Other training areas include; plant fitting and heavy-duty mobile equipment maintenance, as well as mine production and operations.The beneficiaries of the ArcelorMittal international training , are all Liberians, and their identity for the training opportunity was based on their high-performance evaluation results and their commitment to the company. As of the three VTC graduates, they gained the opportunity as the result of topping in their respective training departments during their 3-years of stay at the institution.
