‘Wakanow’ Officially Launched in Liberia

Monrovia -September 12,2023: Wakanow, a Travel Services company, established to bridge the gap and eliminate barriers and inefficiencies facing the travel industry has been officially launched in Liberia.
The launching ceremony which took place at the Royal Grand Hotel brought together stakeholders including authorities of Brussel Airlines, Kenya Airways, and citizens amongst others.
Giving overview of the company’s activities, Madam Sodie Osei-Bonsu of Wakanow outlined that the entity offers flights, hotels, visa assistance, tours and packages amongst others.
She encouraged Liberians to utilize the products and services offered by Wakanow in Liberia.
“I want you to see this company as your own. Our doors are open and we are open to making sure that Liberians have the best services”.
Also Speaking, Wakanow Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Adebayo Adedeji said the Company is an African story with intention of bringing competition, transparency to the market.
Adebayo emphasized that the Institution goal is to build a business where thousand Liberians can travel, and create jobs for inhabitants.
“Our goal in Liberia is to build a business where we can hire thousands of Liberians and ensure they travel easily. To help Liberians, to provide a livelihood for Liberians, to create jobs for Liberians”.
Wakanow CEO mentioned its plan to invest into the Liberian economy. “Our prime principles is a long time focus. We will spend money in your economy, we will invest money in your economy . We brought money to invest here, we are not just here to get, we are here to build, invest, create. We are the company of action, we are the company of talk and do”.
Meanwhile , Madam Audrey Zoe Johnson, Director of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority applauded the Institution for creating its services in Liberia and pledges her entity’s support to their operation in the country.
“For Wakanow, we see a good thing, it’s good because Liberians need to go out there. Thank you again for this venture, our doors are open Whenever you need advice come to us. I ask us to work together, this is the only way our nation will go forward”.
