Nimba County: The man believed to be the Political Godfather of Nimba County, Senator Prince Y. Johnson has come under serious condemnation and criticism for what a prominent son of Nimba termed as deceit and divisiveness to the people of Nimba.

Dopoe Menkazon, a senatorial aspirant in the pending 2023 elections, claimed that Senator Johnson has consistently lied to Nimbaians about protecting them during the Liberian Civil unrest to win votes over the last two terms as senator.

Menkazon vowed to retire Senstor Johnson at the ballot box in October this year. “Sen. Prince Johnson will be retired because he is divisive and deceitful to the People of Nimba County” – Nimba County Senatorial Candidate Dopoe Menkazon asserted.

Menkazon spoke at a news conference Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in Congo Town, Monrovia when he officially declared his intention to contest for the Nimba county senatorial seat currently occupied by Senator Prince Y. Johnson. Sen. Johnson is currently serving his second term and is up for re-election.

The senatorial aspirant narrated that the former rebel leader turned preacher man of the Gospel and Senator of Nimba County, reportedly caused trouble which resulted in civil war in the county.

Dopoe Menkazon also disclosed that Senator Johnson allegedly escaped from his own trouble and left Nimbaians unsaved, in fear and disarray.

Dopoe Menkazon said it is unfortunate and frustrating for Senator Prince Y. Johnson to serve in such a position given to him by the people for 18 years.

Meanwhile, the Nimba County senatorial hopeful boasted of having a good understanding of the corporate system to empower and improve the lives of Nimba citizens through agricultural activities.

However, Nimba County Senator Prince Y. Johnson has since refuted all allegations against him of participating in the Liberian Civil unrest.
