MOE LIFTS BAN ON SCHOOLS’ GRADUATION…Urges Straight Adherence to Health Protocols

Liberia- September 24, 2021-WTVNEWS: The Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Health has llifted the ban on Graduation exercises.

The Ministry in a release indicated that the full implementation of health protocols for the safety of the Liberian people from contracting the deadly Corona virus must be adhere to during graduation.

This decision was reached at both institutions based on the full compliance of the citizens for abiding by the various health protocols.

According to the MOE release, institutions wishing to conduct graduation exercises should consult the health authorities for the appropriate arrangements and observance of the full implementation of the health protocols for the safety of the teachers, students, parents, relatives, sympathizers and friends.

“Remember, COVID-19 is real and is still here. We must therefore do all we can to curtail the spread of this virus and provide a safe environment for our future leaders and citizens. Therefore, we want to extend our gratitude and applaud all school administrators and education stakeholders who have been very patient, law-abiding, and professional during this period of uncertainty and health pandemic”, the release added.

The MoE admonished school authorities and administrators to always be in full compliance with the Ministries’ guidelines, policies, and regulations for co-existence as we strive for quality, relevant, accessible, affordable, and comparative education for the growth and development of Mama Liberia.
