In Bong County…Rep. Cole Donates Assorted Medical Supplies to C.B. Dunbar Hospital

GBARNGA: April 12, 2024 — As the reported shortage of essential medications has over the years served as a major constraint to residents of Gbarnga and its environs, Bong County Electoral District-3 Representative Josiah Marvin Cole has donated assorted medical supplies to the administration of the C.B Bunbar Hospital in Gbarnga.

Key amongst the medications donated are one hundred plus cartoons of Laboratories Fluid coupled with most essential medications. According to Rep. Cole, the medical supply to the hospital is worth two hundred thousand United States Dollars.

The Bong County lawmaker further explained that the donation of the medical supply is an initiative from one of his international partners to the people of Liberia, adding that this donation is phase one of the process.

At the same time, Rep. Cole, during the donation also made available one hundred thousand Liberian dollars to both patients and nurses at the hospital. He said fifty thousand Liberian dollars is for the feeding of patients receiving treatments on the hospital’s wall while fifty thousand Liberian dollars is for nurses assigned to the medical center.

Meanwhile, the CDC lawmaker used the medium to call on the Administration of the hospital to serve all patients receiving treatments at the hospital with the medication free of charge, adding that patients have long suffered a shortage of essential medications.

For his part, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Arthur Jones Wuoh commended Rep. Cole for the donation and further termed it as timely.

He then promised to use the medication for the intended purpose, with a promise of serving all patients with the medication free of charge.
