YEAH FOUNDATION PLACES SMILE ON OVER TWO HUNDRED ELDERLY PEOPLE FACES FOR CHRISTMAS

YEAH, a local humanitarian organization, over the weekend placed smiles of the faces of two hundred and twenty (220) amount of elderly people in Rebab, ELWA and Duport Road Communities in Paynesville.
YEAH Foundation donated items including 25kg rice, bottles of argo oil, sardines and a thousand Liberian dollars (L$1,000) cash to each beneficiary in celebration of the festive season.
According to YEAH Executive and Sponsor of the activity, Mr Didier Gentil, the donation was his organizationโs way of showing love and compassion for Liberia by extending helping hands to its people. “I am happy to be in Liberia to celebrate with the peace loving people of this country. My organization is giving these items to the elderly as a means of putting food on their tables for the Christmas season, I love Liberia and I’m proud to be able to help Liberians”, Didier said.
The donation marked the organizationโs first gesture conducted in Liberia since its establishment in 2021. YEAH FOUNDATION has opportunities on for school going kids, academic institutions and patriotic Liberians.
“This is our first activity we are having in Liberia since we were established last year but we have plans of offering scholarships to students, provide chairs, copybook to schools in the nearest future. We also want to do more to help suffering Liberians better their lives” he mentioned.
The total value of the donation is placed at ten thousand United States Dollars (US$10,000).
Beneficiaries of the donation applauded Didier and his team for the kind gesture, and prayed for multiplication of his works.
Mr Robert Zaizai, on behalf of the group of elderly people and a resident of Block D community expressed excitement of a grand celebration and offer blessings to the Foundation. ” My Christmas will be fine, I want to tell them thank you for giving us these items may Let God bless them more”.
” I feel alright, Christmas will be alright I will cook my own food. I want tell the Foundation people thank you” Madam Lorpu Winena asserted.
” I feel fine, it will make my children to eat and everything will be alright for this season. I tell God thank you so much for him, let God continue to bless him” madam Oretha Tokpa of Block C.
In continuation of the Foundation Gesture, several kids received Christmas package at a huge event. Over three hundred kids attended the ceremony and benefited foods, teddy bears popcorn candies and etc.
The Kids dance, had fun with one another and played with the Christmas Santa during the Christmas party.
YEAH Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by two Swedish Businessmen in collaboration with a Liberian.
The founders are Didier Gentil and David Musetti of Sweden and Walter McCarthy of Liberia. The organization aim to support kids and older folks in Liberia with school materials, food items and educational opportunities.
