Man, 58, Charged for Murdering His Wife

Bong County: Barely two weeks after the alleged gruesome murder of Meatta Singbeh in Tarsaah, Kpaai district, Bong County by her husband, Hamilton Flomo, the crime services division of the Liberia National police in Gbarnga has again charged and sent to court a 58-year-old man identified as Kokulo Kpaquoi for murdering his wife Nawai Yarkpawolo Dennis, age 63.

Kpaquoi told Police investigators and a team of reporters that he murdered his wife, Nowai Yarkpawolo Dennis for allegedly mismanaging his one gallon of cane juice money in the tone of five hundred Liberian Dollars (L$500).

Kpaquoi was charged with first-degree murder in line with section 14.1 of the new panel law of Liberia on 19, October 2022 and has been forwarded to the 9th judicial circuit court for prosecution.

Victim Nowai Yarkpawolo Dennis, (deceased) was discovered unconscious on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, lying in a pool of blood with deep multiple wounds on parts of her body and head around her kitchen on their farm in the N.V Massaquoi farm area.

Upon receiving the information, the LNP Bong Detachment dispatch investigators and ordered a jury to examine the body.

A fifteen-men Juror report revealed that the deceased Nowai Y. Dennis died as a result of the multiple chops on her neck.

Meanwhile, the administrator of N.V Massaquoi farm, James P. Sumo told reporters that prior to the death of Nowai Dennis, she and suspect Kokulo Gbarkolay had lived in the area for over twenty years. “These two people have never been seen fussing, they were always moving and working together. Even Kpaquoi has never been involved in violent act”.

It is revealed that the alleged perpetrator and the deceased never had child up until her death.

Administrator Sumo pleaded with aggrieved family members of the deceased and residents of the town to remain calm and allow the law takes its course.
