MAN, 38 ADMITS TO SODOMIZING 7YRS OLD CHILD
Weala, Margibi County, April 21, 2022: It was a scene during the early Thursday morning hours of April 21, 2022 at the Weala Police station when Timothy Clarke, 38, admited to sodomizing a 7yr old child.
Timothy said his decision was triggered by the absence of a relationship partner or girlfriend for the last 7yrs.
Timothy, who is a former security officer and employee of the Prince Rennie Security Guard is a neighbor to the Survivor’s parents in Weala, Margibi county.
The Mother of the Survivor told Police Investigators during the preliminary Investigation that Timothy Clarke allegedly had sex with her 7yrs son on April 20, 2022 at 23:00hrs.
Police in Weala arrested 38Yrs Timothy Clarke early April 21, 2022 based on the claims of sodomy which he has admitted to.
A formal charge is expected to be issued for further court trial while the Survivor is said to have been sent to the one stop shop for proper medical examination and treatment.
The amended New Penal Code Chapter 14 section 14.70 indicates that Rape is a first degree felony when the victim is below the age of 18yrs at the time the act is committed. The maximum sentence for first degree rape shall be life imprisonment and for the purpose of bail, it shall be treated as per capital offense under section 13.1.1, Capital Offense of the Criminal Procedure Law.
