Liberia National Police Officers Lead Massive Cleanup Exercises in Kakata City

Kakata, Margibi County: Officers of the Liberia National Police (LNP) Margibi County detachment have embarked on a massive cleanup exercise in Kakata City, Margibi County’s capital city.

The exercise, which took place over the weekend, brought together officers from various parts of Margibi all converging in the city of Kakata to help improve its cleanliness and appearance.

According to the Margibi County Police Detachment, the initiative is part of an ongoing effort by the LNP to contribute to the well-being of the communities they serve.

Speaking to journalists during the event, Patrick Kormazu, the Commander of LNP in Margibi County emphasized the importance of police involvement in community activities beyond law enforcement.

“The police is part of the city, and we believe it is our responsibility to contribute to keeping it clean,” Kormazu stated.

He further explained that the initiative is designed to support the city corporation’s ongoing efforts in maintaining cleanliness and order in Kakata.

“This is our way of bolstering the city corporation’s efforts in clearing the city. We also want to send a message to the public that we will continue to take such initiatives seriously to ensure Kakata remains clean,” Kormazu added.

The cleanup exercise has been met with appreciation from residents, who have commended the police for their proactive approach in helping to maintain a cleaner and healthier environment in the city.

The LNP’s efforts in Kakata are expected to be part of a series of similar activities aimed at fostering greater community involvement and ensuring that public spaces remain clean and orderly.
