LACC WARNS PUBLIC OFFICIALS LINKED WITH ALLEGED CORRUPTION AGAINST BREACHING SECURITY PROTOCOLS AT COMMISSION’S OFFICE

Monrovia, September 15, 2021, WTVNEWS, LIBERIA: The Liberia Anti Corruption Commission (LACC) is warning public officials allegedly involved with corruption and being investigated at the Commission’s office Of Breaching Security Protocols.

In a LACC statement issued on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, the Commission said it will not tolerate public officials attempting to force their way into the premises of the LACC with armed bodyguards and chanting of battlecries.

“These irresponsible attitudes have the propensity to place the leadership and investigators of the commission in harm’s way and suppress the outcome of investigation processes” the LACC statement noted.

The Commission reminded Public OFFICIALS of its mandate as enshrined in the Act and emphasized that it will not be intimidated by those irresponsible actions.

The Commission is warning individuals coming for investigation at the office of the LACC to come ONLY with their Lawyers.

“The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission wants to use this medium to inform public officials that it’s taking additional steps to ensure the safety of its employees as the commission ventures deep into critical processes in the interest of the state and its people”.
