GIBI DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE ASPIRANT COMMENCES 250KM ROAD PROJECT

Gibi District, Margibi County) Hon. Alice Baysah, who have expressed interest in representing the people of Margibi Electoral District 5, has commenced the construction of a 250km road project in Gibi.

Hon. Baysah is also an Administrator of real estateโ€™s at Lutheran Church in Liberia.

The road construction project is worth L$3.5M Liberian dollars and it is expected to link Nuah town with Wohn including several satellite towns and villages in Gibi District when completed.

In a conversation with Women TV-LIBERIA, Hon. Baysah indicated that during a recent district tour, the people of the area named deplorable roads and sustained livelihoods as some of the major Challenges faced in the district.

she further expressed her committment and support to the development of the district, adding that her vision is to ensure citizens have access to the very little things that matters.

The Margibi County District 5 Representative aspirant urged citizens to join what she termed as a transformational train to develop the district. She at the same time made available three power saws, ten shovels, fifteen wheelbarrows, eighty bags of cement, and five diggers to jumpstart the project.

Meanwhile, Over twenty (20) towns and villages in Gibi District have benefited first Aid treatment and a cash donation of two hundred and fifty thousand Liberian dollars (L$250,000) by Madam Baysah.

For their part, citizens of those areas showered praises on Hon. Alice Baysah for tackling one of the District’s major challenges, road inaccessibility.

According to them, if roads are passable, they will have the opportunity to transport their locally produced commodities to the nearby market for transaction, and they at the same time pledged their unwavering support to the project.
