CONGO TOWN-LIBERIA: The woes of Internal wrangling is said to have entirely split out the Liberty Party.

A Political Institution build on the shoulders of peace and Reconciliation of it’s vision Bearer Charles Walker Brumskine.

Partisans have expressed concerns over the current state of affairs of the party and this has claimed the attention of the Vision Bearer’s daughter CHARLYNE BRUMSKINE.

Ms Brumskine, in a elaborate Press Conference on Tuesday in Monrovia,
called on partisans of the party to reconcile their differences and hold together in order to keep her late father’s dreams alive.

CHARLYNE said the hallmark of the Liberty Party is based on the principle of reconciliation as such, the vision and dream of her late father towards the party requires the holding of genuine reconciliation.

She recommended the establishment of a seven-man council of elders committee to find way forward to wranglings and conflict within the party.

The Council Elders will be clothed with the responsibility to mediate, make findings and offer recommendations behind closed doors, as means of moving the Liberty Party forward.

Members of the Council will include two recommended Representatives from the office of the Political leader, two persons from Executive Committee and the party Chairman and three additional who are neutral, among others.

Lately, the internal conflict between the Political leader, Sen. Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence and some partisans on one hand and the party chairman Musa Bility on the other hand have taken center stage with verbal counters and nollification.

Political pundits have attributed the internal conflict in the Liberty party to support for who becomes the Standard Bearer of the collaborating Political Party or CPP ahead of the 2023 general and Presidential Elections.

Pundits also believe some ranking members of the Liberty party including the political leader Sen. Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence of Grand Bassa County and Sen. Darius Dillon of Montserrado county are supporting former Vice President Joseph Boakai for the Standard Bearership but questioning the party chairman Musa Bility and others who are supporting Alexander Cummings to lead the CPP in the upcoming election.

Sen. Karngar Lawrence and others including Sen. Darius Dillon have since accused chairman Musa Bility of altering the party’s constitution to give himself more powers something the political leader has since rejected.

Chairman Bility recently suspended some members of the party including Sen. Karngar Lawrence and Sen. Darius Dillon for what he called failure on the part of the two top officials and others to pay their due to the party based Article (ix) of the LP Constitution.
The decision by the party chairman led to Senator Lawrence nullifying the convention the brought Chairman Bility to power, but NEC has since rejected the nullification
