Liberia-March 22, 2023: Preliminary findings from the autopsy conducted on the body of the late Charloe Musu suggested “Exsanguination” (drained of blood).

The Liberian government through the Ministry of Justice on March 22, 2023 conducted an autopsy on the remains of Charloe to probe the actual cause of the death. Since the gruesome murder of the 24yrs old girl on February 22, 2023 in the home of Former Chief Justice Cllr. Gloria Musu Scott in Brewerville, Police have made no arrest of the alleged Perpetrator (s).

According to the Liberian Chief Pathologist Dr. D. Benedict Kolee who conducted the autopsy, Charloe died due to the cut of one of her arteries (intercostal arteries).

Dr. Kolee furthered that the cut of the left arteries led to the free flow of blood to the chest, something he said led to the collapse of the left lung.

“She lost so much blood. The blood that flowed to the left chest collapsed the left lung, meaning it suppressed it, so the left lung was not working” he added.

The Liberian Chief Pathologist clarified that the provisional report of the cause of the death of Charloe Musu is just a clue that will reveal the actual cause of death.

“This is the first time I am doing this. This the provisional cause of death, meaning it could be or not”, he said.

Dr. D. Benedict Kolee at the same time disclosed that the final report from the autopsy conducted will be available in two weeks.

The autopsy was conducted on March 21, 2023 in the presence of the Family, government of Liberia, the media and other civil society organizations at the St. Moses Funeral Parlor.

For his part, Police Spokesman Moses Carter recommits the Liberia National Police (LNP) preparedness to ensuring the actual cause of death and Justice for the late Charloe Musu.

With this process and the process of talking to a person of interest, we we are going to get to the bottom of this”, he stressed.
