At Cabinet Retreat:Pres. Boakai Urges ‘Actions and not Titles’ from Cabinet Members

Congo Town-May 23, 2024: Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has urged his cabinet ministers to rise to the challenge and meet the high expectations of the Liberian people.

President Boakai who admonished his cabinet Ministers to do away with titles and demonstrate actions said, it is time to work hard for the prosperity of Liberia and its people.

The Liberian Chief Executive was speaking during the first day of the three-day ongoing cabinet meeting held at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo, Monrovia, on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

President Boakai emphasized the critical role of each official in delivering transformative change.

President Boakai highlighted the importance of a renewed sense of patriotism and determination within the government.

He stressed that the fate of the nation lies in the hands of its leaders and called for a collective effort to improve livelihoods and restore dignity to the Liberian people.

The President made it clear that every official must contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress or step aside.

“We must do things differently and with a renewed sense of patriotism and determination to deliver on our promises. The fate of a nation lies in the hands of its leaders. It is up to us, the officials, to pave the way for a brighter future for our citizens,” President Boakai stated.

The President also underscored the need for unity and teamwork among government officials.

The Liberian Chief Executive called for open dialogue and innovative solutions to address the country’s challenges, emphasizing that failure is not an option.

President Boakai further urged his team to work diligently and selflessly towards the nation’s development.

“Either you are on board, or you are left behind. Let us not rest until we have unlocked the full potential of our nation and brought about a transformation that will be felt for generations to come,” he added.

The retreat is focused on reinforcing the government’s commitment to delivering on its promises and meeting the aspirations of the Liberian people.
