Alleged “Voters Trucking” leads to terrible accident in Gbarnga, Bong County

GBARNGA-October 9, 2023: A 29-year old man identified as Morris A.B Cummings has fallen from a speeding truck believed to be transporting voters to Zoweinta, Bong County ahead of October 10 polls.

The incident took place about 6:30 PM on Gbarnga Broad Street after victim Cummings attempted jumping from the vehicle.

Explaining to our reporter from his Hospital bed, victim Morris Cummings said he boarded the vehicle from the FDA intersection in Paynesville Montserrado County informing the driver that he was stopping in Gbarnga, where he previously registered during the Voter Registration Exercise in Liberia.

He added that his trip to Gbarnga was influenced by one Winston Blackie, an individual according to him allegedly brought him and other residents of Monrovia to Gbarnga, Bong County during the registration exercise.

But, efforts by this outlet to inquire from Winston Blackie did not materialize as numbers provided to this platform are currently switched off.

Meanwhile, one of the individuals on board the truck who requested not to be named told our reporter that the truck was carrying them to Zoweinta by the order of the current lawmaker of the district, Albert Hills Jr.

The victim was rushed to the C. B Dunbar Hospital for medical treatment.
